About Stephanie
I am a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Irvine’s Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy Program.
My research seeks to explore the kinds of change that may be possible in shifting the hegemonic view of humans over nature to a relationality that is more reciprocal. I use qualitative and GIS methods to examine converging and diverging views of what it means to bring together Western Science with community knowledges, looking particularly at the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and the Rights of Nature movement. I graduate in June 2027.
I am currently on the academic job market for teaching assistant professorships in Southern California.
